When less is definitely more! I really love this dress and so happy to have found it!! The simple, minimalist style is everything on this dress. The fabric they chose and color makes it edgy. The little button and zipper details are perfect and it's seriously such an easy piece to wear which makes this easily a favorite of mine. You can also always cinch the waist with a belt if your prefer that look. Well,  of course it is now sold out, but I found some similar ones and linked it above. Don't you guys love finding easy pieces like this that are just perfect for on-the go- busy days where you just have no time to put together an outfit. You just wear it and go!

I also think the dress is so perfect with OTK boots. And this particular pair is so comfortable even with heels. I literally have walked around in them all day and have not had any issues. 

And since we are going for a minimal look, I thought this black Prada purse would be perfect since it is a classic, simple black purse with just a gold detail. I love investing on classic style designer purses because you can use them forever and pretty much goes with everything!

This look is so effortless! Each piece is definitely a must have in your closet!

NEUTRAL KNITS FOR FALL

 

Hi guys! On today's post I am wearing key basic pieces you'd want to have in your closet this Fall. 

1. Comfy Cardigan that is perfect for layering. You can get the most use out of a neutral color because it easily goes with everything. You don't have to break the bank to be able to stock up on cute cardigans and knits. I know they all add up so fast! But this one I am wearing is from CHOIES and they have so many  cute ones to choose from and it literally won't break your bank. 

2.Neutral colored Scarf. This is also great for layering and it goes with any color or pattern you are wearing. 

3. The perfect destroyed boyfriend jeans. When on the go, they are so so comfy you'll really appreciate having them on. With all the shopping you have to do this holiday season, you can throw on any pair of flats, snickers or trainers with a pair of boyfriend's and you are set to go from am to pm. You can also easily dress it up with your favorite heels or heeled boots. 

4. A nice cuff/bracelet to accessorize with. It super easy and always finishes off your look. It's chic and it seems like you carefully thought about your whole outfit and that you put in more effort than your really did ;)

6. And a nude-ish colored pointy heels. This one I am wearing is more like peachy. A nude color, pale pink or peach, just staying under the neutral tones is a good investment because again it will easily go with any outfit and wearable all year round. 

I love owning key basics and having them in my closet because it literally makes dressing up everyday so much easier!!

Well geesh, I think that "mommy brain" has literally kicked in and I have not had my phone with me in the last 2 days and so I am so sorry I am so behind on responding on my instagram and am definitely missing you guys' posts!!! I know I can't even believe I left my phone at home 2 consecutive days!!!  I will have to make sure to play catch up today. Yesterday we headed out to Apple Hill with the family. It's a place full of apple orchards. We had my favorite apple donuts and some blueberry pie and apple cider. We also were able to take really great pics of the kids!! :)

I seriously love this time of the year!

Well we are now back hitting over 100 degrees here in Sac. I love that there are so many cute Summer trends we can choose from to wear but I always have denim shorts as one of my Summer staples. Why? Because it's so easy and comfy and because you can really just wear anything and everything with it. So here's another easy, comfy but still stylish Summer outfit idea for you that I have put together. I can seriously live in these pieces all Summer. 

Anyway, a little update on baby C. He sure is growing pretty fast. On his 2 month appointment he weighed 15lbs and was 24 inches long! Well no wonder my wrists hurt from picking him up. He's become very alert and just loves to chat, coo, smile and laugh and it just melts my heart really! I can do that with hm all day, haha! He also has started sleeping through the whole night!! Yes, that is major and pretty exciting and I hope that continues on. But the weirdest thing is that he seems to be showing signs of teething!! Yep! Sounds crazy right? But I guess  some babies develop early and they can get teeth around 3 months.... So we'll see... I'll definitely update you on that. 

This weekend, we are having our friends over for dinner.  Geesh, I am just now realizing how much I have missed entertaining and well I have been missing cooking since I have not really cooked in a long, long time. I just love having great company over with good homemade food.  It will be our first time to entertain with Carter here so I'll have to let you guys know how we do! :)

NEW SEASON FAVORITES

TOP Forever21 / SKIRT Forever21/ Shoes Topshop

I'm pretty excited about this post because every single piece in this outfit has made it to "my favorite" list!! No lie!! First let's talk about these heels!! At first I was kind hesitant about it. There are a lot of similar styles that are out but I only like particular ones so far and this pair is one of them. These heels are so PERFECT I think especially if you want to create your favorite 70s look. This pair would probably go with all of them! They are seriously so comfy, lightweight and I love the style!! So so happy I found them. Next piece that I have been giddy about is this dang skirt!! So we have been seeing a lot of the brown/ camel colored suede skirts but this one is rose color, I just immediately fell in love. The color I think is just so chic and will always be chic. And of course this basic top. Who does not love a good basic, stripe top?? AND yes, I cannot believe that I found the top and the skirt from Forever21!! Especially the skirt, it's pretty good quality, nice and fully lined. All these 3 pieces are definitely getting their use this Summer and none of them will break your bank. It's definitely a WIN!! 

Me and baby C had a nice morning. We discovered a new indoor place where we can hang and when he gets bigger he can eventually play and run around with other kids. Summer gets super hot here, when it's 90-100 degrees out and super dry.... it's easy to overheat! And of course with Carter being a new born he can't really have that. So I've been constantly searching for indoor places where we can hang and do stuff. So I'm always excited to find new cool spots!

Happy Friday and Happy Halloween!! There are so many "happys" to celebrate today! So is everyone going trick or treating tonight? I'd love to hear what costumes you guys are wearing?! Well me and Mark are not really doing anything huge tonight!! We'll just be waiting for the kids and giveaway tons of treats!! It's always so fun to see all the cute little munchkins and adults all dressed up! 

Anyway, I posted this outfit on instagram and got a lot of questions as to where I got the outfit! So here it is now! :) I must say that I do love every piece in this look because they are all so versatile. It's also pretty surprisng how much this whole outfit cost! it is very budget friendly! It was super windy when we shot this so forgive me but my hair and the fringes on my purse were flying all over! Lol! Well hope you guys all have an awesome weekend, I can't believe November is rolling in!
