LIGHTER SHADES FOR FALL

Pink is certainly one of the prettiest color around. But I very rarely wear this color. I guess I'm just not so much a pink girl. But it is fun to rock pink every now and then and so yes, this is one of the rare moments you see me wear pink. :) 

 I thought it would be fun to change it up a little and go lighter for Fall. My main inspiration in putting together this outfit is this gray OTK boots! Yes this is the  gray version of the black that I have been wearing and yes I definitely give both the two thumbs up. They are definitely must haves!!

We were bopping around old town when we took these photos. Some of the houses are so cute and charming and then you turn on another street and you see the oldest, craziest houses and front porches! Haha ya just never know what you'll get when you bop around old town and you'll probably see some of them on the back drop of my photos. 

Anyway, just a few more days to Christmas, I still can't believe it. Me and Carter are still trying to recover from the cold we got last week. I guess we sorta passed it back and forth to each other and so recovery is taking a little bit longer. But hope we kick it off for good by the end of today. 

It's our first Christmas with Carter and so it's really very special. Definitely one of the best gifts we can ever get. Now that we have our little family I'm starting to think of what new traditions our little family can start and do together.  I've got some ideas but still pondering them.

Hi guys! How have you been this week? Hope you had a great week! I got a cold on Tuesday and just now finally feeling better. I hate being sick and I usually really don't! So much harder too when you have a little one. 

But anyway, so glad I am much better now, I sure missed cuddling with my little angel. He is getting so much more active and kind of wild!! Hahaha! It's super fun! We laugh and squeal all day! I also finally shopped him some cold weather clothes, it's finally getting cold here and I guess I never really know how much of what we will need a lot of until the actual weather hits. I am not one of those that just stocks up on baby clothes. I seem to have a hard time doing that because they literally grow out of it so so fast!! AND they grow so fast that it's hard to estimate what size they really will be in when Summer hits. Isn't that weird that my philosophy on my baby's closet is completely different with my own. I actually like Carter's closet to just have a few really good pieces. Actual clothes he wears at the current season for the home, going out and for sleeping. Too much of them seems overwhelming to me when I get him ready in a hurry (which is pretty much almost always) and it just means more laundry!! :) So a few really good pieces for him works great! Because in a couple of months we change sizes all over again. 

Anyway, so I LOVE dancing and I love graphic tees. So combine both of  them = this super cute tee from Le Motto! I mean it's perfect!! :) I really like the Le Motto brand because they spread good words and try to make a difference in the world in such a cute way. They make graphic tees that you can customize yourself and their mottos are all pretty cool (not cheesy!) . And who does not like a graphic tee?? They are so perfect for you and for the whole family and your friends! I think they are perfect gifts too, they are so soft!! So check them out an see which one you like the best! Hello friends! Happy new week! I can't believe we are in mid October!! I can't even wrap my head on that! Hope you guys had a wonderful weekend. 

I am finally now able to post this look here. I might have forgotten to post this here a couple of times now. I think I have always saved it for a Friday post and things get so hectic on Fridays that I just never get to post it.  But here it is now!  I really get a kick out of matching my outfit with baby C. It's so so fun and I am so thankful for the stores that make matchy adult and baby outfits possible and available! 

Anyway, speaking of how time flies, I think Carter was only 3 or 4 months here and already look different from how he looks now. He still has his crazy hair haha and they are growing long. So I'm thinking they will be crazy for a while! We were on our way to a Chalk it up festival where a ton of artists work and display their art around the Capitol Park using chalk. It's pretty cool. Tons of food too and music. We bopped around for a little bit but we didn't stay that long. The music was really loud and I think it was too much for baby C then. I also have to apologize some of the pics here were taken using my phone and the other half we used our DSLR.

Hi guys! One of my favorite transition pieces right now are these long shirt dresses. We all know that shirt dresses are easy and pretty much always a comfortable piece, and that is why a lot of us have them as our go-tos. But these long ones are a fresh take on that style. 

I was super excited to find this piece from My Concrete Blues, they are a new online boutique created by 3 sisters who have a passion for fashion. They carry styles from classic to edgy and I love that you can find unique pieces like this shirt dress from their store. Another favorite of mine is this top and shorts coordinates here it's SO SO cute and their prices are really good!! I love introducing new boutiques to you guys because they are like finding gems, right?!! So check them out to see if you will find pieces for you! 

 On this post I dressed it up with black trousers and heels and on the 2nd look I will be dressing it down. (I can't help it, I styled it 2 ways! :)) I would have also loved to layer this with a thick, oversized sweater or cardigan but seriously the weather  here is back to hot again there is just no way I can go outside with those layers right now. I also synched the dress with a gold belt to give it a little bit of shape.

NEW SEASON FAVORITES

I'm pretty excited about this post because every single piece in this outfit has made it to "my favorite" list!! No lie!! First let's talk about these heels!! At first I was kind hesitant about it. There are a lot of similar styles that are out but I only like particular ones so far and this pair is one of them. These heels are so PERFECT I think especially if you want to create your favorite 70s look. This pair would probably go with all of them! They are seriously so comfy, lightweight and I love the style!! So so happy I found them. Next piece that I have been giddy about is this dang skirt!! So we have been seeing a lot of the brown/ camel colored suede skirts but this one is rose color, I just immediately fell in love. The color I think is just so chic and will always be chic. And of course this basic top. Who does not love a good basic, stripe top?? AND yes, I cannot believe that I found the top and the skirt from Forever21!! Especially the skirt, it's pretty good quality, nice and fully lined. All these 3 pieces are definitely getting their use this Summer and none of them will break your bank. It's definitely a WIN!! 

Me and baby C had a nice morning. We discovered a new indoor place where we can hang and when he gets bigger he can eventually play and run around with other kids. Summer gets super hot here, when it's 90-100 degrees out and super dry.... it's easy to overheat! And of course with Carter being a new born he can't really have that. So I've been constantly searching for indoor places where we can hang and do stuff. So I'm always excited to find new cool spots!
