Hi guys! Happy new week! Hope you guys had a fun and restful weekend! 

We took so many pics on our last Socal trip and I am still working on uploading them. We are there a lot because of my family and some work but it's always a super short trip. We usually only go too when there's an occasion but it's been a while for us to just go there to just visit and go around town. So on this last visit we did, I really tried to go around Socal cities and show Mark around. Yes Mark is a full blown Northern Cali guy and he is Canadian, so he has not really spent much time in Socal except for our little short trips in the past. 

We had a lot of fun and I am so so glad Mark enjoyed and likes Socal now. Maybe I'll end up moving back there with my little family, who knows?! Lots of possibilities and I am definitely open to that idea! 

Anyway, these are pics we took when we went to Laguna beach, close to my sister's house where we were staying. We only had about an 1 1/2 hours to play around the beach and we had to get going since everyday's agenda was so full. It was so nice to be by the ocean, it's just SO relaxing. This was also Carter's first trip to the beach. Mark thinks the water might have scared him a little haha! With Carter being born around Summer time it kind of took away half of our Summer time and beach time. We'll just have to make up for it a different time! :) 

Another great reason to move back to Socal is being able to live by the water. I wish we could have stayed there longer but we had to meet people for lunch. 

By the way you guys, this statement piece I am wearing, I am so obsessed with!! I literally cannot stop wearing it. Well I guess I should end this post for now. It's again pretty late and if Carter decides to wake up super early in the morning and not go back to sleep I'll be sorry again (like this morning :P ) The boy is learning to crawl, with that and his turning over it sure is disrupting his sleep. It's still good though at night, he just is waking up earlier than normal. Hope we get back in our old routine soon!

Hello and happy new week! Are you guys having a great week so far? I am posting more from our trip. On this day we went to Temecula, Ca to see more family we have not seen for quite a while. Yes it was super hot that day! Apparently my mom did a surprise birthday party for me there and it was a lot of fun. They also had tons of my favorite dishes served too!! Yum yum!! Lucky me! It was a nice full day spent with family and Carter got to meet them and vise versa and those moments are just so priceless. 

Now let's talk about this outfit but most importantly, these booties!! OMG they are certainly made for walking!! They are so so so comfy and so cute!! Probably one of the most comfortable booties I've owned and the price is pretty good!! I also love the taupe color, it being such a neutral color you can totally wear it with everything all year round! It is worth every penny and definitely a must have! 

This dress I found too is super cute especially for the price. I think this is one of those pieces you can layer big cardigans with, wear tall thigh high boots ala Free People style and layer with tons of jewelries and wear for Fall.

Hi guys! Did you have a nice long weekend? I hope you all did. Me and my little family had a really nice weekend. We went to some local festivals and then on Sunday went and explored Sausalito. It's really great living here in California. Not only because the weather is great but it's so big and there's so many towns and cities to explore. And that's perfect for us especially now that we have a little 3 month old baby. If we want to get away for a day or so, it's easy and there's always a new amazing place to discover and enjoy. 

But today I finally have my first outfit post up from our trip to Southern California. I apologize that the background is not at all pretty but hey, it's reality ;) It was literally at one of our quick pit stops to eat, feed the baby, change him and let him stretch out before driving again. We usually drive to Southern California and now with the baby we decided that it will be easier if we drove too.  Yes we are that couple that don't mind driving at all. With Carter usually asleep in the car we thought it would be a breeze as long as we stop and feed him and let him stretch out, it should be fine. Plus we wanted him to be as comfortable when we arrive at the destination since we will be staying there for about 7-8 days we want him to be as comfy and not have problems putting him to sleep. Which means we had a little bit of  luggage with us consisting of baby gears.  Not a lot but a lot if you are  flying. I'll do a separate blog post about that and list the important items we brought that made things go smoothly. He did so well on the whole trip and the drive to and back home. It was so much fun. 

Anyway, eeek! Let's talk about my new favorite thing to do these days! Wearing matchy outfits with baby Carter!! I just love matching outfits with him!! Haha! Never thought I'd be one of those moms, but I also love doing it because he is a boy. Usually the mom would match outfits with their daughters and the fathers would match outfits with their sons. So I love that we are matching and it's mom-son combo. So I like being able to find cute outfits and these little boutiques that cary unisex products for adults and you can match with your kid. It doesn't mean that if your baby is a boy then you can't match outfits with him at all. So these outfits form Whistle and Flute are really good quality and their are one of my top favorites!! I love their stuff!

This Summer I have been super obsessed with everything off the shoulder and flowy. They are just so cute, so easy  especially with the hot sticky weather.  So excited when I found this top at the Zara sale  and I couldn't even believe they still had my size. But it is now sold out but I have attached some similar stripe off the shoulder tops. 

I also love these skinny jeans with raw hems I found at the Nordstrom sale event. It's Blank NYC and they are so soft and their styles are on point and they are jeans that won't break your bank. This is also one of the rare Summer occasions where I am wearing  jeans. Here in Sacramento Summer gets really really hot and the less clothing you have on the better to survive the heat! (Sorry, I'm not sorry! :P)

Well we are now back hitting over 100 degrees here in Sac. I love that there are so many cute Summer trends we can choose from to wear but I always have denim shorts as one of my Summer staples. Why? Because it's so easy and comfy and because you can really just wear anything and everything with it. So here's another easy, comfy but still stylish Summer outfit idea for you that I have put together. I can seriously live in these pieces all Summer. 

Anyway, a little update on baby C. He sure is growing pretty fast. On his 2 month appointment he weighed 15lbs and was 24 inches long! Well no wonder my wrists hurt from picking him up. He's become very alert and just loves to chat, coo, smile and laugh and it just melts my heart really! I can do that with hm all day, haha! He also has started sleeping through the whole night!! Yes, that is major and pretty exciting and I hope that continues on. But the weirdest thing is that he seems to be showing signs of teething!! Yep! Sounds crazy right? But I guess  some babies develop early and they can get teeth around 3 months.... So we'll see... I'll definitely update you on that. 

This weekend, we are having our friends over for dinner.  Geesh, I am just now realizing how much I have missed entertaining and well I have been missing cooking since I have not really cooked in a long, long time. I just love having great company over with good homemade food.  It will be our first time to entertain with Carter here so I'll have to let you guys know how we do! :)
