LAYERING PATTERNS & TEXTURES

November 20, 2015

Well TGIF guys!! Hope you guys are having a wonderful week! Mine has been a challenging week with the balancing and all the juggling. Carter turned 6 months and seems to start wanting mommy's 24 hour attention.  He's usually super chill, happy  and I would say pretty independent for a little baby. But this week his eyes are glued on mommy and wouldn't let me leave his sight.
I think it's also time to up his toys to more educational toys. It's so much fun to see how much more they are starting to appreciate toys, music, books, etc. But they definitely are changing all the time and it just keeps me and moms on our feet all the time.

Anyway, on this post I played with patterns and textures and it was so much fun. I originally planned this outfit with a sequin skirt or a leather skirt instead of culottes. But I thought culottes would work too, it just makes the look more casual.  With a skirt, it will definitely be more dressed up, which I still plan on rocking this Holiday season. Worn with stilettos or some pointy pumps.

My in laws arrive from Canada tomorrow and we are super excited! It will be so much fun for them to see how big and fun Carter is now and will also be so much fun for Carter to be able to spend time with them! I'm getting really excited for the Holidays too. I wish we can fast forward to Thanksgiving and all the Thanksgiving sales then to Christmas!! Haha!
Well hope you guys all have a super fab weekend!! :)

PERFECT MULES FOR FALL

October 6, 2015

Top Zara
Mules c/o Go Jane
Bag Saint Laurent (Ysl), different colors here, here and here

Well this week it actually cools down here a little. Just enough to wear jeans really! Haha! And then on the weekend we are back up at 90 plus degrees again. So I will take temps at 80s and 70s for sure. Has it cooled down where you are?

Anyway, I must say that I love every piece I am wearing on this post. Just has a little twist on the basics for the season . Love the style of the this tunic. These jeans are so comfy and I really love the wash. I'm really liking the Blank NYC jeans lately. All their styles are on point, they are soft and it doesn't really break the bank. And these mules!!! I am so glad I found them, the style and color are perfect,  I can pretty much wear them with everything and you wouldn't even believe the price!! I'll definitely be putting in some miles on these this Fall. If you have not heard of Go Jane, they are an online boutique that has so much cute stuff and nothing in that store breaks the bank. They stay on top of the trend and oh!!- Don't forget to check out their wide variety of shoes collection! Go Jane has always been on my list of go-to stores to check all the time. You can always find stylish pieces and you really can't beat the prices!

Have you guys gotten your Fall basics yet?

Carter's Jumpsuit  Whistle & Flute

Hi guys! This post I have for you tonight is when we spent and explored Sausalito, Ca. It's pretty close from where we live and it's really really nice. You can take quick ferry rides to San Francisco and I think to Napa as well. They are also knows for house boats, and I mean  "real" house boats that cost millions to build. Funny how it's so close from us but we've never explored that city. We always head out to San Francisco, Napa Valley and Tahoe but there really are a lot more cool cities to see around Northern California.

The other little town we visited too is called Tiburon. It's so so nice and quaint. Also by the water, it's really beautiful and definitely quieter than Sausalito. Sausalito is also known for great restaurants and the one we went to was superb! My swordfish dish was SO good and Mark's grass fed burger was probably one of the best burgers I have tasted ever. It was a really a great day and I'd love to go back explore more of it since we had a late start that day.

And speaking of late starts, well I guess we were rushing and completely left one of the most important things I should never, ever leave home without --- can you guess? Well, we freaking left our camera! Ha! So please forgive the quality of these pics but at least we have some photos from that day!

And one of the other great thing that happened that day?? I guess one of my instagram friends who I only met through instagram, was actually sitting right next to us at lunch!! Straight from NYC!! How crazy is that?! So random but the power of social media is pretty. darn. amazing!! If it was not for instargam our paths wouldn't even have crossed! I've met so many great & inspiring people on instagram and other social media platforms and it's just so fun and wonderful. A great creative community and like minded people that help and support each other.

Hope you enjoyed this post!!

TRANSITIONING TO FALL WITH ROMPER AND BOOTIES

September 23, 2015

Hi guys! How are you doing this week? As for me I am literally fueling on caffeine these days!

We have a movement sensor monitor in baby Carter's room and now that he is moving around so

much whenever he is in the corners of his crib, the alarm has been going off. Last night I had to get

up 3x times for that.  We have made adjustments to its sensitivity but we have not quite nailed it

down yet. So we'll for sure be working on that tonight.

Anyway, for being a first time mom, everything from being pregnant to now is just such a wonderful

and crazy experience! I can also totally see how easy it is to just get stuck in the wonderful baby land

and just stay in sweats all day.  I personally refuse to do that, I thought that it's still important to

take care of myself and that I would feel better if I did and that it was worth the extra effort. And I

think it's good for all mommies to still take care of themselves. When mommy feels good, and is

happy, it's easier to to tend to the baby's needs therefore more chances of having a happy baby. :)

But I just recently realized that yes, I was dressing up everyday but it was pretty much

"Meh" style wise. Like my mojo was gone...And I am so excited to post these pics because I think

this was the time I realized that, and I think I finally got it back.  It's ok to still

wear cute and fun clothes even if you are already a mom. Haha I know this is a little more risque

than normal but it's good to have fun every now and then. And really what I am trying to say is for

moms out there who think they've lost touch with dressing and styling  themselves up, it's still in

you,  just waiting for you to tap it!
