PREPPY CAN BE EDGY

February 21, 2015

Hi guys! Happy Saturday!! Here's a quick little weekend post for you! This is another favorite prego outfit so far!! So fun and really comfy! And yup, these vegan leather joggers are on repeat! I did a post on it here  like a month or so ago. And again I can't even express to you how comfortable these pants are! It's probably one of the most comfy trousers/  joggers I have ever put on, so this is definitely on the top of my list pregnant or not as a go-to piece. It's so soft, really  great quality and very stylish. Trust me, once you put it on you just never want to take it off! Haha! I think it will soon be my prego uniform, the waist is elastic and also has a drawstring so it is adjustable. I think I'm soon entering the maternity pants world and these joggers, even if they are normal fit and not maternity I can just take with me to the end of this pregnancy.

Anyway, decided to wear it with this nice blue easy top and I have been in search for a fun cap and I can't believe I found this one and you would't believe where! So I have searched at Nordstrom, asos, topshop and all my other go-to stores for a new fun cap and didn't really find one. And so i finally gave up and googled plaid caps and this one one popped up and it's from good 'ol Target!! I still can't believe it! It sure is a score! But it was the perfect piece I needed to complete this look. I think this look is such a fun combo of preppy and edgy at the same time. Hope you guys enjoyed this post!! :)

I have some simple easy tips today on staying warm, comfy and still look chic at the same time. When you guys are searching for scarves make sure to check out the blanket style scarves because they really are big, warm and cozy. There are a ton of super cute styles available now for blanket scarves and this style will give you so much more warmth than the smaller, thinner scarves. This one I am wearing is definitely one of my faves. The design is so cute and it is super soft! It is pretty big when you open it up it can double as a beach blanket in the summer!

Another easy idea is wearing (faux) leather pants. If they are good quality (faux) leather, the material is usually so much thicker than regular denim. So that right there again, it's giving you extra warmth for the cold season. Let's talk about this one in particular I am wearing. I have had several other leather joggers and I was pretty surprised on how soft this one is, so not only is it warmer than regular pants it's also SO SO comfy!! It literally feels like wearing pajamas but it's obviously way nicer and trendier than pjs. I am wearing a size small and this is not maternity fit but the waist is elastic so it is adjustable. But I will definitely be wearing this a lot and probably be living in this during pregnancy and after. Will also be great with sneakers and slip ons. And if you travel a lot or do a lot of running around, this is a really great piece to invest in. I think you will love it!

So there are the 2 easy and simple tips on helping  you stay warm this season. Hope you are having a fab week!

TGIF everyone! This week sure did go by super fast! Do you guys have anything fun planned this weekend?
So this look I have today is the part 2 of styling this stripe top. It's another "transitioning into Fall" look. As you know I am all over all the different coat styles this Fall and trench coats are definitely one of them. I also like these lighter trench coat material because it's perfect for transitioning from season to season. Love wearing these long coats over shorts or skirts because for obvious reason they keep you warm and cozy while still letting you do bare legs! And these comfy wine colored moccs are great pop of Fall color.

I love wearing monochrome looks with lighter colors. I think it's a nice and fresh take instead of just wearing all black. Don't get me wrong though, I still love the all black look, it will always be a  classic, edgy, chic and sharp look. But doing monochrome in the lighter tones can be sharp and chic too and I think it is often overlooked. So on this post, I decided to wear my new favorite skirt with a boyfriend tee to dress it down a little. The skirt is so cute and soft and currently on sale, I can't even believe how low the price is right now! :) I love that it's a lighter peach/ nude color and not the regular black leather skirts.  And I can't wait to wear it  with some oversized sweaters with sneakers and booties for Fall.

Hope you guys are having a nice week!
